Plaster Cast of a Face (planar) is a copy of one of the famous sculptures of Beethoven's face, divided into planar shapes. This life-sized cast is excellent for studying portraiture and the structure of the face. It can also be used in still lifes. An integral wire loop makes it easy to hang on a wall.

Traditionally, cast drawing has provided an excellent way for the study of proportions, shape relationships and the effect of light and shadows on the human figure. Once the plaster casts are set up, they remain in place and can be drawn session after session in the same position and lighting condition. Plaster casts are ideal for drawing using the “sight-size” method or the triangulation method, another form of measuring, to reproduce shapes and relationships accurately.
